Eligibility
Students must be receiving a federal Pell grant at the time of their scholarship application and be a U.S. citizen. Students with questions about whether or not they receive the Pell should contact Financial Aid. Click here for additional information about eligibility requirements from Gilman.
What is the Gilman Scholarship?
A nationally competitive scholarship funding study and intern abroad experiences for undergraduate students who meet eligibility requirements. Students may be awarded up to $5000 to participate in a program abroad, with the potential for a supplemental $3000 if studying a “critical need language.” Click here for more information about the Gilman Scholarship
What is the Gilman-McCain Scholarship?
Another nationally competitive scholarship funding study and intern abroad experiences for undergraduate students who are the dependents of active military personnel. Students are awarded a flat $5000 award to participate in a program abroad and must meet other requirements for an approved program but do not need to be Pell eligible.
