To become an alumnus/a of the Gilman Scholarship, Gilman scholars are required to carry out the Follow-on Service Project proposed in the application. The goal of the Follow-on Service Project is to increase awareness of study abroad and the Gilman Scholarship among a Gilman scholar’s home or campus community. Gilman scholars must complete a report on their Follow-on Service Project activities within 6 months of their return to the U.S.   Let’s see what kinds of Follow On Service Projects our UConn Recipients have done!
